This is Lil-G my current rescue.
His previous owner abandoned him at a pet shop. He was not in good
condition when I first saw him but I couldn't bring him home because I
know how hard it would be to have 2 iguanas. 2 months later the pet shop
called me again asking if I'm would be willing to take him home because
they couldn't contact the owner and they cannot take care of him any
longer.
I was still in doubt but I could not let him die there. Its
against my will and I could not let that happen. So I decided that I will
take care of him until I could find him a new home, someone that would be
willing to make the big commitment.
The first vet visit was a heart breaker. MBD, dehydration,
swollen limps, hand and finger, bad skin condition and heavy parasites.
The problem list seemed like hell. At that moment I knew that I was
doing the right thing to bring him home. He deserved a better life.
He has been with me for 2 month now making a remarkable
recovery, gaining so much weight, growing so well and I can see sparkling
in his eyes. I'm so happy for what I did and I won't regret even though
keeping 2 Igs is so hard!!!!
